Hi all! I was now going though the Signal’s code (the end-to-end encrypted messaging that most in the privacy community use) and I found an interesting commit (a snippet of code).
And if I read it right this would be epic: the ability to have usernames so we don’t have to share phone numbers in order to contact someone.
As all code, it will still take a while until it is in its final version ready to ship to everyone’s phone. But we can at least know that they are thinking on adding this in the future.
It seems like someone managed to convince Moxie (founder). I don’t know how.
